Johnson County’s state-of-the-art medical Examiner Facility represents a key investment in public health and safety for its citizens, providing residents and law enforcement with cost-effective medicolegal autopsy services with greater accuracy and faster turnaround. The facility is helping to identify emerging threats in the community such as infectious diseases and illegal drugs, providing health services and law enforcement with valuable information to protect the public, while also supporting regional partnerships for training and workforce development and bolstering public health and safety inter-agency cooperation.
The facility, the newest addition to the County’s Sunset Campus in Olathe, was recently recognized by the See which real estate projects won a 2021 Capstone Award [PHOTOS] - Kansas City Business Journal (bizjournals.com) in the Special Judges’ Category for Public Health.
