The Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta is the world’s largest indoor aquarium with 100,000 fish in 8 million gallons of water. PGAV conceptualized, designed and supervised the construction of all aquaria, animal exhibits and interpretives for the $250 million project. PGAV served in a similar role on the aquarium’s expansion in 2010.

The Aquarium’s concept is to immerse the visitor in the animals’ environments. Utilizing thematic settings, theatrical techniques and lighting, special effects, and cutting edge audiovisual media, the Aquarium delivers emotional impact. PGAV organized the exhibits into five zones, each with a unique storyline and style and designed an innovative interactive interpretive program to engage visitors as participants in an encounter with the underwater world.
