The Lenexa Recreation Center supports the City’s long range plan to provide fitness and health facilities to the 85% of Lenexa residents that do not belong to a gym. Opening in 2017, the Center will include group fitness studios, cardio and strength facilities, two full-size gymnasium courts, multipurpose auxiliary gym, and community rooms. An exciting feature is an indoor track that overlooks the main gym and natatorium facility.

The indoor aquatic area includes water slides, swimming lanes, a wellness pool with diving and climbing wall, and play structures for children. Locker facilities include family changing rooms. As one component of the Lenexa Civic Center project, Lenexa Parks and Recreation plans to host activities in the multiple outdoor plazas.
