Plant Biology Laboratory

Noble Research Institute
Ardmore, Oklahoma

The renovated Plant Biology Laboratory has transformed an aging research facility into a state-of-the-art center for interdisciplinary discovery. Overarching goals included supporting a collaborative research model and providing flexible modular microbiology research labs that can respond to changing instrumentation and research initiatives.

PGAV led a series of interactive programming and conceptual design workshops with key stakeholders to develop programmatic requirements, develop conceptual plans, cost estimates and illustration. Adaptable modular research labs and shared collaborative space are designed in an open lab environment that will support up to five principal investigators and their research teams. Mobile lab casework and overhead CIP utility distribution support long term flexibility. The LEED certified laboratory incorporates numerous energy conservation features reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to advancing sustainable practices and environmental stewardship.
