St. Louis Science Center

St. Louis, Missouri

The St. Louis Science Center’s mission is to stimulate interest in science and technology throughout the community, and as SLSC has grown in recognition, adjacent properties have been redeveloped by institutions with similar science and learning objectives. With this impetus, PGAV assisted SLSC in conceiving a brand image for its campus as the “Center for Science.” The plan’s components include the development of underused parcels and the integration of various modes of transportation to maximize site potential. Following the master plan, PGAV led initial renovations of the Center and added a bridge to McDonnell Planetarium to the north. Later, Boeing Hall was added to improve the Center’s visibility and provide flexible, state-of-the-art exhibit space and an outdoor plaza.
