JCCC Showcases New Teaching and Research Labs

Last week the PGAV team attended an open house hosted by Johnson County Community College showcasing their new teaching and research labs designed by PGAV. These state-of-the-art facilities will have a long and lasting impact on JCCC STEM students and our community for years to come.

An exciting part of the CLB renovation project is the creation of two spaces dedicated to undergraduate research. For STEM students, research is a very important component of their education. Many faculty members were already supporting their students’ research, but these centers will allow us to increase the scope and the types of projects that students can undertake. Providing these opportunities to our students puts us at the forefront of community college education and gives our students skills and experience that will service them well when they transfer.
